Converter section

For best results re-use the Factory Quick-Connect Fitting ,Use sharp edge to cut factory hose and discard .Insert Factory fitting into supplied 3/8 Hose.

Installation (T&C Dual Bracket)

(1)  Install new O-rings to fuel transfer Pump(s).

 

 (2) Position fuel pump  (#1) with T&C

Bracket the Pump will snap into Port.

 

(3)  Position the Bracket and Pump onto fuel filter Housing Use Pump #1 Bolts

It is much easier to use the holes on the #1 Pump that are closest to the wheel, than install the bolts on engine side of pump # 1.

 

(4) Install Pump #2 with correct Bolts.

             (TQ 60 In Lbs)

 

     (5)  Connect New Fuel line extension at

           Fuel supply line (Re-Use factory quick Dis-connect).

     

      (6) Connect electrical connectors to Pump.

 

      (7) Prime System: Cycle key to actuate Pump(s).

    

  CHECK FOR LEAKS IMMEADITELY WHEN KEY IS TURN ON.

 

 Check for leak after engine is operated

 It is recommended to have the Fuel tank at 1/4 or less, this will stop fuel from leaking at the Quick-Connect fitting on the frame  rail,otherwise  you  will  need to plug this with 3/8 plug.

 

(Optional) Removal of the Driver side PLASTIC WHEEL WELL SHROUD  (8 Small 8mm bolts) for access to filter canister. Access from under the vehicle may be difficult without  proper lift and safety equipment.

 

(Drain filter canister)

 

 

REMOVAL

 

     The fuel transfer pump (fuel lift pump) is attached

 

  to the rear of the fuel filter/water separator housing.

 

 (1)  Disconnect electrical connector  from

fuel transfer pump.

(2)  Disconnect fuel tank supply line from fuel

transfer pump extension line. Do this at disconnection

point at inside of left inner frame rail .

Refer to quick-connect fittings for procedure.

(3)  Remove 4 pump mounting bolts (hex-allen),

  and remove pump from fuel filter housing.

 

(4)  Confirm that transfer pump o-ring is also removed from the filter housing
